Level 4 Certification in Education & Training for Sign Language Teachers QCF @ Grwp Llandrillo Menai
Duration: 6 hours per class for 15 weeks in 1st year and 15 weeks in 2nd year.

This programme is designed to provide an introduction to teacher education for Deaf people and others seeking to teach British Sign Language (or lip reading). Leaners will gain knowledge on the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches, facilitating learning and development with individuals or groups and the role of assessment in the teaching and learning process. Leaners will have the opportunity to choose to study from a range of optional units to support the specialist knowledge required in the teaching of sign language or lip reading.
An Institute of British Sign Language Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training for Sign Language Teachers prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. It requires observation and assessment of performance.
This qualification is only available in Wales by agreement with Qualifications Wales (SAQW and Grwp Llandrillo Menai.

iBSL are attending BDA 125 Year Congress on the Wednesday 20th July to Sunday 24th July and will be selling some useful teaching resources. We have a selection of DVDs at £5.00 each so please bring some money along and purchase some excellent teaching resources. See you there!
From the 1st October 2016, iBSL will be relocating to our new office, Empire Court.

iBSL plan to upload new marking sheets by the 1st week in September, however in the interim please continue to use the existing marking sheets.
