City Lit Stall

iBSL are invited by City Lit to set up a stall to promote iBSL for BSL Teachers and Assessors on Saturday 9th July. City Lit is located at 1-10 Keeley St, London WC2B 4BA. We hope to see you there.

iBSL will be selling some useful teaching resources.

We have a selection of DVDs at £5.00 each so please bring some money along and purchase some excellent buy teaching resources!

Witnesses & External Examiners Training

An exciting training opportunity for registered qualified BSL/English interpreters interested in becoming External Examiners (EEs) or assessor witnesses for the Institute of British Sign Language, (iBSL).

iBSL is a UK based awarding body of sign language and BSL related qualifications, professional development courses for BSL/ English interpreters and deaf-blind qualifications.

Level 6 Interpreting Qualifications

All Centres who are currently running or interested in delivering the Level 6 Interpreting qualifications, there will be compulsory training taking place on Tuesday 23rd August from 9.30 – 4.30pm at Warrington iBSL offices. Our new website is now active!!

The qualification specifications and guidelines are not currently uploaded, however will be by end of July after they have been approved by ofqual.

Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

Regarding the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement :- Course dates are Monday the 18th & Tuesday 19th July starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm. The qualification will be completed by July 2017. We will discuss and agree on the remaining dates on the 18th July. Course fees are £600.00 per candidate and can be paid by instalements. 2-Day Linguistics Workshop

2 day linguistics workshop at iBSL! Kate Rowley, from DCAL, will cover linguistic topics that are part of iBSL’s curriculum. Limited spaces so book now to avoid disappointment!

Training dates -: 14th and 15th October 2016, 10am – 4pm and will be held at iBSL offices, Warrington. Fees -: £210 (for both days)

We are currently in the process of updating the iBSL website and associated content – this will include the new Total Qualification Time (TQT). The information will be uploaded onto the website as soon as both the TQT and website are ready to go live.

For centre learners – if you have any queries regarding your chosen course, please contact your course tutor at your approved centre – iBSL are unable to respond to course enquiries as we are the qualification awarding body only and not a course provider.
